BLU aims to create a fun and interactive brushing experience for your whole family. Our goal is to provide your family the accountability to create proper oral care routines.
Our vision is to eradicate periodontal disease by making convenient, fun, effective and SMART daily oral hygiene products that will keep families and dental professionals smiling longer.
As a busy parent and dental professional, it has always been of upmost importance to me to establish a proper toothbrushing regimen for my children.  However, once I began teaching them to brush it was nearly impossible to make it happen without a battle. This motivated me to try to find a solution that would get my children engaged in their oral hygiene routine. Furthermore, I wanted this solution to assure me that they had not only brushed, but they brushed properly.  From my experience, this concept sounded like a pipe dream. It also made me realize that if I was having this problem, and I worked in the dental industry, most households were probably having a hard time getting their kids to brush.

It has been proven time and time again that the mouth is directly linked to many health issues. Heart attacks to Alzheimer’s, it all starts in the mouth with periodontal disease. According to the CDC almost 50% of adults aged 30 and older have some form of periodontal disease. Needless to say, how well you brush your teeth impacts your quality and longevity of your life.

Habits rule our lives. By the time you hit your forties, you have brushed your teeth well over thirty thousand times and have developed a habit of how you brush. This includes how well you have hit and missed certain teeth. Being able to see exactly how you brush is not only an eye opener but medical lifesaver.

So, what started out as a desire to get my kids to stop fussing over brushing, quickly turned into a louder cry for help to preserve the health and longevity of our family.

We started looking and found most toothbrush products that were affordable weren't functioning at a level that matched their esthetic features. The higher end smart brushes didn’t excite our kids and in some cases, the size and stiffness of these so-called designer toothbrush heads did more damage than good. Not to mention the costs and hassle of trying to find the right power toothbrush, and constantly switching out batteries and brush heads for each member of our family.

We needed a convenient, fun and effective brushing solution that made sense for the whole family to ensure proactive health habits were being formed.

BlÜ™ Toothbrush was created to make brush time fun and interactive and to make preventative dental hygiene accessible for EVERY FAMILY.
